Dear friend I am explain step by step to how to install magento on live server.
For Local host:
2. Download magento https://www.magentocommerce.com/download
3. Extract magento zip or rar file in your c-derive : wamp/www/magento
4. Create database in your by clicking on magento grrn icon->PHP my admin->Database->create database
5. Now run http://localhost/magento
And follow the step:
6. Make sure in host name put localhost and user name:- root
Password you can use your own choice
